Rockynats roars closer

You can tell we’re getting close to RockyNats.

Cars that have been tucked away in sheds all year are suddenly out on the roads again, getting their last bits and pieces sorted for Central Queensland’s biggest festival of horsepower.

I love this time of year.

Customers come in asking about our entries, talking about their own builds, and sharing the projects they’re hoping to enter in future events.

Our entries are a little different this year, too.

We’ve swapped one of our usual cars for a two-wheel option.

You’ll see our blue Mustang in the street parade on Friday and in the street drags on Saturday and Sunday.

Our two-wheeled entry is our Heirlm Red Anniversary Edition Harley-Davidson Fat Boy, which will also be rolling through the parade.

We’ve also been working on a fun little project that will be on display in the SWL 4X4 Zone.

Our Suzuki Jimny.

This micro 4×4 has been set up for maximum fun off-road, with a suspension lift, upgraded tyres, bullbar, spotlights, winch, roof rack, rear bar, ladder, onboard air, long-range tank and a Stage Three turbo setup to give it a bit more punch.

We’ve still got plenty more mods planned to make it fully self-sufficient for the tracks around CQ.

Make sure you check it out, along with the other 4x4s heading into Dave Casey’s display. There are some unreal setups coming.

Another fan favourite is always the Burnout Precinct.

We’re lucky to have the Burnout Masters bring their high-powered machinery to RockyNats every year as they chase finals spots for Summernats.

This year we see the return of everyone’s favourite green Hilux, LUXIFER. Kyle has had a massive couple of years in the USA, showing the Americans how good Aussies are at doing skids.

The Hilux is back on home soil, and with Formula 1 driver Oscar Piastri recently taking it for a spin during the Melbourne F1 weekend, I don’t think there’ll be a single tyre left unfried.

Skid Row is back too, ready for Friday night action.

There’s nothing better than seeing a car you watched in the street parade turn around and absolutely fry some rubber.

If you’re heading to the Burnout Precinct, take some hearing protection.

These cars are wild and seriously loud.

Don’t forget to check out everything happening at the Showgrounds.

The Rockabilly Pin-Up Girls will be on stage, the Dyno Comp will be running, and you’ll find the Hot Wheels Stunt Show, Mullet Fest, Tattoo Comp and Wrestling all in full swing.

Stick around for the unveils in the Elite Pavilion. The quality of cars brought here from all over Australia is incredible.

You don’t have to be a Ford fan, a Mopar man or a Bow Tie lover.

The workmanship in these builds is something everyone can appreciate.

While you’re in the CBD Precinct, make sure you support our local cafés, wine lounges, hotels and restaurants.

you’re walking past and want a coffee or a bottle of water, they’d love to see you. If you’re planning dinner in the area, a booking might help.

And don’t forget the other locally owned shops around the precinct.

This is shaping up to be the greatest car festival in Queensland.

Grab your tickets online or just search RockyNats and it’ll pop straight up.

Get your passes while you can and we’ll see you there.
